Administrative records relating to federal "701" program, 1962-1968.

RG 69-104. Under Section 701, Housing Act of 1954, as amended, Michigan was granted federal funds to study state resources: land use, population, transportation, and natural resources. The program functioned under the Governor's Interdepartmental Resource Development Committee. Members included representatives of various executive departments within state government (Agriculture, Highway, Conservation etc. ) Minutes of meetings, statistical settlements, fact sheets, outlines, letters in and carbons of letters out, informational nearprint and printed articles, sample application, clippings relating to urban planning assistance program, 1962-1965, and memoranda. Records were weeded and many removed from original file folders prior to arrival at the Archives.
